How Liquid Calories May Be Making You Fat… Even Your Favorite Protein Drinks!
Posted by: | CommentsAt least 7 scientific studies have provided strong evidence that energy containing beverages (i.e., “liquid calories”) do not properly activate the satiety mechanisms in the body and brain and do not satisfy the appetite as well as food in solid form.
Epidemiological research also supports a positive association between calorie-containing beverage consumption and increased body weight or body mass index. New research now suggests that soda may not be the only culprit…
The primary source of liquid calories in the United States Diet is carbohydrate, namely soda. Now running a close second are specialty and dessert coffees. Did you know that a 16 ounce Frappucino can contain 500 calories or even more! That’s one-third of a typical female’s daily calorie intake while on a fat loss program.
A recent study at Purdue University published in the International Journal of Obesity set out to learn even more about this bodyfat – liquid calories relationship.
Researchers compared solid and beverage forms of foods composed primarily of carbohydrate, fat or protein in order to document the independent effect of food form in foods with different dominant macronutrient sources.
Based on previous research, some experts have recommended targeting specific beverages as being “worse” than others. High fructose corn syrup and soda has been singled out the most and you’ve probably seen that yourself in the news.
There’s no question that soda has been on top of the “hit list” for some time now, by virtue of the amounts and frequency of consumption alone.
However, this recent study says that from a pure energy balance perspective, we should be cautious about ALL liquid calories, not just soda and not just carbohydrates!
Fruit juice for example, appears to be an obvious improvement over soda, so many people have swapped out their soda for fruit juice. However, when fruit juice is compared to an equal amount of calories from whole fruit, the whole fruit satisfies appetite better (largely due to the bulk and fiber content), and so you tend to eat fewer calories for the day.
[On an interesting side note, soup does not seem to apply; soup has higher satiety value than calorie containing beverages, possibly for mere cognitive reasons.]
If you were to meticulously track your calories from beverages and you made sure that your calories remained the same for the day, whether liquid or solid, there would probably be little or no difference in your body composition.
But that’s not what usually happens in free-living humans. Most people do not accurately track or report their caloric intake. Our mistake is that we tend to drink calories IN ADDITION TO our usual food intake, not instead of it.
Men are especially guilty of this when they drink alcohol – Men tend to drink AND eat, while women tend to drink INSTEAD OF eating.
This new research found that with all three macronutrients – protein, carbs or fat – daily calorie intake was significantly greater when the beverage form was consumed as compared to the solid.
Yes, it’s true! Even protein drinks did not satisfy the appetite the way that protein foods did!
While you would think that protein drinks are purely a good thing, because protein foods have been proven to reduce appetite and increase satiety, if you turn a solid protein food into a protein drink, it loses it’s appetite suppressive properties in the same way that happens when you turn fruit into fruit juice.
[NOTE: After weight training workouts, liquid nutrition may have benefits that outweigh any downside, especially on muscle-gaining programs]
Why do liquid calories fail to elicit the same response as whole foods? reasons include:
* high calorie density
* lower satiety value
* more calories ingested in short period of time
* lower demand for oral processing
* shorter gastrointestinal transit times
* energy in beverages has greater bioaccessibility and bioavailability
* mechanisms may include cognitive, orosensory, digestive, metabolic, endocrine and neural influences (human appetite is a complex thing!!!)
* last but not least, nowhere in our history have our ancestors had access to large amounts of liquid calories. Alcohol may have been around as far back as several thousand years BC, but even that is a blip on the evolutionary calendar of humanity.
As a result, our genetic code has never developed the physiological mechanisms to properly register the caloric content in liquids the way it does when you eat, chew and swallow whole foods.
Bottom line: This study suggests that we shouldn’t just target one type of liquid calories such as soda. If you’re trying to beat body fat, it’s wise to limit all types of liquid calories and eat whole foods as much as possible.
Start by ditching the soda. Then ditch the high calorie dessert coffees. Then cut back on the alcohol. From there, be cautious even about milk, juice and protein drinks.
Drink water or tea instead, or limited amounts of black coffee – without all the high calorie extras.
If you do consume any beverages that contain calories, such as protein shakes, be sure to account for those calories meticulously and be sure you don’t drink them in addition to your usual food intake, but in place of an equal amount of food calories.
Remember, those protein shakes you might be drinking are called “meal replacements” not “free calories!”
For many years I have suggested focusing primarily on whole foods rather than liquids, even protein shakes. Unlike so many other fat reduction programs, Burn The Fat, Feed The Muscle does not require any kind of liquid meal replacement or protein drinks and our company does not exist to sell supplements; we are here to educate you and millions of others about the realities of body fat loss.
We now have even more scientific data that confirms what Burn The Fat has been teaching all along.

The Best 16-Minute Workout EVER
Posted by: | Comments[ Note: This article was written by fitness and nutrition author Jon Benson. I have his permission to share it with you. ]
When I wrote “7 Minute Muscle” and “7 Minute Body” (the in-home version; both books come in the same package) I thought I was doing the muscle-mass crowd a huge favor.
I was right… and I was wrong.
I was right because the 7MM-style training has put serious muscle shape, tone, and size on people from all ages.
I was WRONG because it did more than just add lean muscle:
THIS makes people THINNER…
7 Minute Body workouts <– fastest bodyshaping workout EVER
The short version of the science behind why this happens and a sample workout routine is included in today’s newsletter.
Yep: the workout I intended people to use for building muscle turned into one of the fastest ways to melt body fat.
Weird.
I say “weird”… it’s not that weird to me. I know why it works so well. But it was kinda weird for my readers.
The secret is density training.
Density is basically getting the most amount of work done in the least amount of time. More work in less time = more energy.
More energy spent = greater fatloss.
Fatloss (and muscle-shaping) is not an issue of length of time as much as it is an issue of work divided by time.
The body was made to perform in bursts, not in long bouts. This is why our immediate fuel sources (which come mostly from carbohydrates) are WAY too efficient… so much so that we store incredible amounts of fat from consuming too many of the “fast-fuel” foods.
The best way to combat this fat-storing problem is to use your body the way it was designed to be used: In bursts of fat-burning power that are intense, short, and highly focused.
That’s the basics behind density training.

7 Minute Body workouts <– fastest bodyshaping workout EVER
Want a practical example? Great… let’s look at a 7 Minute Muscle chest workout followed by a 7 Minute Muscle “GXP” Cardio workout.
Your total workout time: A whopping 16 minutes.
That’s “TOTAL” workout and cardio time, minus a short warm-up.
After your warm-up, you would start with the first of two “Phases”:
The first 5 minutes is called The Power Phase.
This is followed by The Mass Phase (Mass is for adding lean muscle) which last only 2 minutes.
During the Power Phase, your weight you select for any movement (from a bench press to a push-up) stays the same. This makes it very easy to shorten your rest intervals between sets.
Your repetitions will be a maximum of 5 for your Power Phase using a weight that’s about 60% of your normal 5-rep max. You will rest as little as possible between sets.
The first few sets will feel light, but as time progresses this “light” weight will become more and more challenging. In fact you will drop your repetitions down quite low in order to complete the 5-minute Phase… and that’s GOOD.
That’s what we want: As many repetitions as you can get during 5 minutes, but never exceeding FIVE repetitions, during your Power Phase.
Your rest intervals are up to YOU… you can rest a short or as long as you need.
This is a very creative and personal workout!
Your goal is simple: Get more TOTAL reps (called “Aggregate Repetitions”, or “AR”) than your previous workout.
This is what makes 7 Minute Muscle so unique: The progression is built-in.
Most people fail to progress in the gym because they simply do not track their workouts carefully enough.
With 7 Minute Muscle you don’t have to track an entire workout: Only ONE number. The total number of repetitions, or your “AR”.
Simple!
Your Power Phase for a chest workout may look like this:
EXERCISE:
Incline Machine Press (upper chest)
5 reps (rest 20 seconds)
5 reps (rest 15 seconds)
4 reps (rest 20 seconds)
3 reps (rest 30 seconds)
3 reps (rest 30 seconds)
1 rep (rest 20 seconds)
1 rep (end)
]Total AR: 22 reps
Total Time: 5 minutes
Your goal next time is to get 23 repetitions using the same weight. Once you can get 5 repetitions every set it’s time to increase the weight for this movement.
You would then move to your Mass Phase (2 minutes) which would be a different chest exercise for TEN repetitions.
Same goal, same principles apply… beat your previous AR.
The end result is a 7-minute workout that shapes your chest AND burns a lot of fat due to the principles of time/energy expenditure and the fact that muscle burns calories.
You end your 7 minute workout with “GXP” Cardio. This is 9 minutes long… that’s it! But your body is primed to melt off a lot of fat after your 7 minutes of intense weight training… and you will drop the fat if you do this workout right.
You start with 3 minutes on the exercise device of your choice (I prefer the treadmill.)
You work your way up to 85-90% of your maximum heart rate, or a perceived exertion rate on a scale of 1-10 of 7 to 8. No more is needed to get the desired results.
You stay at this level for just 3 minutes.
Then you cool down for 3 minutes.
That’s IT.
That’s your entire cardio workout and weight-training workout… all in 16 minutes (about 20 with a warm-up.)
And you will progress faster, burn a lot more fat, and save SO much time you may have to take up a new hobby!

FDA Nukes Yet Another B.S. Weight Loss Pill…YES!
Posted by: | Comments[ Note: This article was written by fitness and nutrition author Jon Benson. I have his permission to share it with you. ]
I took a big, huge, massive sigh of relief today.
Finally… the FDA did something right when it comes to bogus “magic” diet-fatburn pills.
A panel of experts reviewed Vivus Inc.’s new wonder-pill “Qnexa” today.
They gave it the thumbs-down.
Why?
Oh… pesky little reported side-effects like… (are you ready for this?)…
Heart Attacks
Stroke
Increased Risk of Suicide (yikes!)
Memory/Concentration Loss
You know… “minor” stuff like that.
GEEZ. What the hell are these drug companies thinking?
Oh, right…
Quick-Fix =
Big-Bucks
Got it.
So, I am going to believe that YOU are much smarter than the morons who tried to get this drug past the FDA.
I’m going to assume you want a solution to this obesity pandemic and your own fatloss issues (if you have them) that do NOT involve risking your life for a thinner you.
“Oh, Marge… she looks so thin in her casket…”
THIS IS NOT A GOOD EULOGY! : )
Listen: I get it. I really do.
I’m an athlete and we are always looking for tricks to help increase our performance. But your body is simply too smart for these fatloss-pills people are trying to pass off as “a break-through medical discovery.”
Nonsense… more like heart-breaking medical waste of time.
One day… perhaps even in my lifetime… someone will invent a chemical that actually works to shed bodyfat without harming the body. That will be a great day for all of us.
Even so, I can all but promise you that this chemical will have its nasty side-effects and/or be limited in duration or power.
Nothing, repeat NOTHING you can pop in your mouth will give you the JOY that managing your dietplan and bodyweight can give you.
NOTHING!
It’s one of the greatest feelings in the world.
And here’s a fantastic clue for you: The reason we want to be thin is because of the FEELING it gives us. Most everything we do is based on feelings.
Quick-fixes negate the most powerful thing about feelings: Earning the right to have them!
Think of it this way: Would you feel more alive and powerful if you climbed a mountain or if you took a helicopter ride to the summit?
Sure, the helicopter is easy… but which is more personally rewarding?
Think of your own body transformation goals as your personal mountain to climb.
No helicopters… just really good guides (I volunteer) and solid climbing tools (like a great real-world dietplan, solid workouts that work WITH your schedule, and realistic but exciting goals.)
Your goals will become your base camps along your summit of your personal journey to the best you possible.
Color me silly, but I think that sounds FAR more empowering and rewarding that popping pills.
As you probably know I wrote one of the top books in the world on “real-world” weighttloss (spelled that way so the spambox won’t eat your email… : ) I made this dietary System as easy as possible… but NO plan is “easy” and there is NO quick-fixes out there without serious pricetags.
That said, I have some “rebel tricks” to share with you today… and they won’t put you six feet under before your time.
Just click on the page below and then click on “Articles”… then you’ll see it. It’s the first article, “3 Diet Secrets Revealed”.
Go here:
You can’t sell this stuff in a bottle… but it works to get the bodyfat off and keep it off.

P.S. If you pick up my dietplan (on the article page above) you’ll find in the Member’s Area three supplements that actually DO work to help you burn-off-fat… but they do not work like magic. 3 tricks to suppress your appetite
Posted by: | Comments[ Note: This article was written by fitness and nutrition author Jon Benson. I have his permission to share it with you. ]
Another good article appeared today in the fitness section of MSNBC.
Since you’re busy, I’ll do a quick summary of the article — the good stuff, the bad stuff, and what you need to do today to get started…
First, you need to know this…
And this will probably shock you…
Rarely, if EVER, do you need to suppress your appetite!
The real secret is to increase your metabolism… the rate at which your body uses food for fuel.
Then being hungry is a good thing… as long as you’re eating the right foods at the right time.
My “Favorite Foods” plan is a great way to do this…
My “Favorite Foods” Dietplan revealed <== click.
But let’s say you want to curb your appetite at night…. that’s the time most people really lose it on a dietplan. Even on a plan that ASKS you to eat frequently like mine, there are times where night-time cravings need to be put to sleep.
So use these tips from the article to ease the urge to eat at night:
1. Protein First
As I say in my dietplan, “Rise and shine with protein.” What does this have to do with night-time cravings you ask?
Everything.
Set the body up to use your own fat-stores for fuel by eating protein in the morning and your appetite FOR fatty foods goes way down during the day and the night. Protein is “thermogenic”, meaning it helps increase your metabolism. It also acts as a natural appetite regulator.
Notice I said “regulator” and not “suppressant.” That’s because you only need to regulate your appetite, no matter how much bodyfat you desire to drop.
I show you how here:
My “Favorite Foods” Dietplan revealed <== click.
Cool, right?
2. Go For The Grapefruit
In a study at the Nutrition and Metabolic Research Center at the Scripps Clinic in San Diego, people who ate half a grapefruit with each meal lost an average of 3.6 pounds in three months. That doesn’t sound like a lot (and it isn’t) but that’s ALL they changed.
It doesn’t matter for our purposes… we want to lower insulin at night. Why? Insulin is not only dangerous for your health in excess but it also can cause a LOT of fat storage if secreted too much at night. Enter the lowly grapefruit.
A great snack, especially if you have a few bites of lean protein with it.
3. Smell This!
This is a trick I didn’t know about until recently.
Smelling food can trick your brain into thinking you’ve eaten.
A recent study found that those who inhaled peppermint in scent form every 2 hours at (get this) 2700 calories LESS per week than they normally did.
Let me put that in perspective: That’s a fatloss of more than half a pound a week… from sniffing peppermint!
Vanilla also works. You can keep vanilla-scented drops or even candles around the office and take a wiff every few hours.
How easy is that?
The Bad Part
The MSNBC article goes on with advice like “eat potatoes” and “eat just a little bit of fat”, both of which are nonsense.
Potatoes may fill you up, but they are still starch – and starch should be consumed on your “off” days.
Potatoes are especially bad due to the higher-than-desired glycemic index of 85 (anything over 50 is too high.)
You also need dietary fat… and not just “a little.” You need a moderate amount to stay healthy and keep insulin regulated.
Olive oil and even coconut oil are excellent sources, as are naturally occurring fats in fresh fish, grass-fed beef, farm-raised chicken and whole eggs.
The rest of the article is common sense stuff: Workout, eat dense food that requires you to chew a lot (tire out the jaw muscles and you naturally eat less), etc.
The top 3 are the real winners.

3 Reasons Why Obesity Is… A Disease?
Posted by: | Comments[ Note: This article was written by fitness and nutrition author Jon Benson. I have his permission to share it with you. ]
I bet you didn’t know this …
Obesity…even being overfat… is a disease.
No, really.
At least that’s what several social groups wish you to believe. “Suffers Of Obesity” is just one of those groups. Their entire stance is obesity (which, btw, can be only 30lbs or so over your ideal bodyweight) is an actual disease.
Well, is it?
Yes… and no.
Comedian Ricky Gervais has a hilarious go at this stance… that obesity is a disease. You sometimes have to laugh, you know? ; )
“No… it’s not a disease… it’s greed. You just love to eat,” or so Gervais believes.
Well, in my first newsletter for 2010, a new decade with new ideas, I’m here to share a new idea with you:
We really need to redefine some words.
One of those words is “disease”.
Case-in-point: Wikipedia.com defines disease…
“In human beings, “disease” is often used more broadly to refer to any condition that causes pain, dysfunction, distress, social problems, and/or death to the person afflicted, or similar problems for those in contact with the person. In this broader sense, it sometimes includes injuries, disabilities, disorders, syndromes, infections, isolated symptoms, deviant behaviors, and atypical variations of structure and function, while in other contexts and for other purposes these may be considered distinguishable categories.”
Let’s think about that.
If you bump your knee against a sharp object, is this a new disease called “bumpuskneeitis?” Er… no. It’s an accident. Sure, it may ’cause’ a specific set of symptoms that could broadly (as in as broad as the back-side of a barn) be considered a “disease”, but … no. It’s an accident with biological consequences.
Social problems? So, if I decide to read 17 books on why my parents suck as a teenager and develop anti-social behavior, is this a “disease”? NO! This is the angst of youth combined, perhaps, with poor parenting! Sure, it can lead to mental issues that could be classified as “disease”, but guess what?
It’s totally within your control. No one force-fed the books to the teen. And no one is force-feeding you, or anyone you know.
That decision is yours and yours alone… and anyone, repeat ANYONE on the face of planet earth can change their behaviors and attitudes toward food.
Okay, some more thoughts on disease:
Let me give you a few examples of what is typically thought of as “disease”…
— Leprosy
— Cancer
— Hypothyroidism
We’ll just take three… there are thousands as you know.
Now, we can all agree that these three states represent true “disease”. The first you could catch by accident; the second is a combination of genetics, environment, and who-knows-what-else, and the third is almost always genetic.
One, cancer, is something you ‘may’ be able to do something about. For example, lung cancer. 90% of lung cancer patients contract the disease from smoking.
Let’s just cover these 90%, shall we?
And folks, I’m asking for an open mind here…
Is lung cancer, in the case of the 90%, REALLY a disease?
Or is it a biological consequence?
Sure, “cancer” is a disease. But what caused it in this case? Something involuntary? Hardly. Something that could not be stopped?
No way.
The 90% caused it. Period.
Welcome to the real world.
So, I propose this: We redefine “disease” as an abnormal biological condition that we DO NOT have direct cause or effect over.
Airborne viruses: Disease. Obesity: NOT a disease.
And yes, lung cancer in chain smokers: NOT a disease; it’s a biological outcome. The end result should be treated as a disease, of course, but come on: Where is the responsibility folks?
Life, if you want to life it fully and without fear, is ALL about taking total responsibility. That’s empowerment. Anything less is… well, LESS.
In our example, lung cancer is no more a “disease” than, say, me hitting myself over the head with a hammer every day and causing brain damage is a disease.
Brain damage (not self-induced) = disease.
Brain damage caused by self-inflicted hammer-hitting = biological consequence. In this case of sheer stupidity!
Now, one could (and many will) make the argument that I had a “mental” disease that caused me to WANT to hit myself over the head with a hammer… but… well…
At this point we need to redefine the word “disease” in my opinion. Here’s why:
First, if this were the case, I could say that all criminals have a disease.
They all have a mental disease that makes them want to kill, steal… you name it.
This may in fact BE true… we do not know… but do we hold them NOT responsible if it is? No, we do not.
And that brings us back to obesity.
Obesity and being overfat is not a disease folks…
—— > it’s a biological consequence.
And, with the exception of the extremely ‘rare’ cases of total glandular dysfunction from birth, obesity… your bodyweight… is your responsibility.
Period. End of story.
Sorry, but that’s the way the ball bounces.
Am I being mean? No. I was obese. I have a right to speak my mind about it, and trust me: My depression (a disease… sorta… some genetic, but a lot of it was caused by eating too much sugar) definitely aided in my obesity.
Then how come I’m not obese any more?
I found a better way to eat. I re-trained my body to crave this style of eating (and exercise) over stuffing myself with pizza and burgers every day.
Here’s what I use:
Click.Here———–> My No-Disease No-Obesity Wake-up Call!
It torches bellyfat… and it reprograms the body and mind to use food as fuel… especially if you use my “7 Minute Body” workout system (you can get it at 77% off after you pick up EODD on the page above… ; )
So be brave. Be fearless. And be responsible.
Oh… and be sure not to catch “internetemailitis”… its a disease that causes you to want to check your email more than 10 times a day.
I have it. So be careful… may be contagious. : )
P.S. In my journey from obesity to total leanness I had to overcome ‘real’ diseases, like pituitary failure from a high fever (i.e. viral pneumonia that almost killed me) and, yes, clinical depression (partially my fault; partially not… i.e. half disease, half biological consequence.) So I have sympathy, believe me. But I also know what you can do once you have a solid plan in place and a determined mind.
Then no “disease” can stop you… at least the ones that do not kill you.
So go for it… be brave, be responsible… and be lean!

Best Weight Loss Supplement
Posted by: | CommentsFast Weight Loss Supplement is Natural!

Fast Weight Loss Diets Using Diet Pills
New formula based off of a published, successful clinical study where ALL participants lost weight WITHOUT changing their diet or exercising! This formula is improved and actually much more effective than the one used in the study!
Fast weight loss using the Best Weight Loss Supplement is right here (authors opinion). If you have tried everything and nothing works – you have not tried this because it does work. Money back guarantee of course.
Special Report: Take Up to 6 Inches off
Your Belly in Just 10 Weeks
When the rest of the world catches up – this little-known West African herb could become recognized as the most effective weight loss supplement ever discovered.
But you can start using it to drop pounds – and lose inches – RIGHT NOW.
My own enhanced version of this formula is ready today. It’s even more effective than the compound researchers used in the clinical tests. I’ll show you how to get started in this letter.
First, I want you to see the results.
The people in this study – which was published in the medical journal Lipids in Health and Disease – lost an average of 28 pounds and 6 inches off their belly. And they didn’t change their diet or exercise habits.1
Reset Your Body Clock and Burn Fat Like You Did Years Ago
There’s an all-natural herb that grows deep in the forests of West Africa. And it resets your body’s “fat signals” to the point where you naturally and easily resist the production of new fat cells – just like you did when you were in college.
Remember those days? When you could eat anything you wanted, and nothing made you fat. It’s easy when you’re young. But as you age, things get thrown off balance.
Our modern diet is processed and full of additives and other toxins. Combine that with getting older and you throw off your body’s “fat signals.” These signals tell your body how much fat to make and store.
That’s why it’s hard to lose weight as you age… even when you try your best to eat right and exercise.
This herb improves those signals and resets your body’s delicate machinery. When it regains its balance your body has the ability to control fat production – just like it did when you were younger.
This Miracle Nutrient Helps Burn Fat Away…
Staying lean and trim as you age is not easy. You can eat right and exercise and still end up with a “spare tire” around your belly. It doesn’t seem fair.
But if you know why this is happening you can do something about it.
The West African herb – called irvingia gabonensis – can help you get that extra weight off. It’s one of the all-star nutrients in my new slimming formula Primal Lean.
How does it work?
Your body has a “signal network” that controls your fat cells.
If this communication system breaks down, your fat cells get bigger and bigger… and you get more and more of them.
As you age that’s exactly what happens.
Fat Signal #1: Burning Fat for Energy – Naturally
When things are running smoothly, your fat cells produce leptin. This messenger sends out two signals: One, it tells your brain you’re full. That shuts down your hunger. Two, it tells the fat inside your cells to breakdown into a kind of fat that can be burned as energy.
When these signals are working, you don’t get hungry as often and your fat gets burned naturally.
But when too many fat cells build up, a protein called CRP sticks to the leptin and prevents it from delivering its message to your brain. Signal lost.
This is called leptin resistance. The bottom line is you’ll always feel hungry and the fat inside your cells will stay there forever.
When this happens it triggers a series of other signal problems.
Fat Signal #2: Controlling Sensitivity to the “Fat Hormone”
Another messenger – adiponectin – controls your sensitivity to insulin. When you have lots of adiponectin, your body responds well to insulin and everything is fine – your waist is small, your heart is healthy and your arteries are clear.
But as you age, your levels of this critical fat signal drop… then you’re more likely to get bigger and fatter.
Fat Signal #3: The Bad Guy… Turning Blood Sugar into Fat
The 3rd messenger is actually a bad guy you want to get rid of… it’s called glycerol-3-phosphate dehydrogenase. This enzyme turns blood sugar into fat. Not what you want.
The magic behind Primal Lean is its ability to restore your body’s signal network. After a few weeks the leptin signal to your brain is reconnected, adiponectin levels rise and the bad guy – the fat making enzyme – gets cut off.
Problem solved.
You see, as you age these fat signals get thrown off. No matter how much you exercise or how well you eat you could always be vulnerable to age-related fat gain.
Unless, of course, you have a communication network that’s firing on all cylinders. When it does, it’s a beautiful thing to see. Extra weight and fat simply begin disappearing – in a matter of weeks!
How many years have you been fighting the love handles… the pot belly? Probably decades. In 10 weeks or less you’ll drop a good chunk of that extra fat… I guarantee it.
Compared to years of struggle 10 weeks seems to happen overnight.
As Soon as I Discovered this Breakthrough Fat Buster
I Called a Few of My Patients…
I read this study back in December. Within days I had a dozen sample bottles. As the Christmas holiday approached I already had a few volunteers.
One my patients – Arlene H. – started taking this weight loss herb on December 18, 2008. Here’s an excerpt from her letter:
“I’m always interested in new Dr. Sears formulas so I was excited – although a bit skeptical – to hear about this new weight loss herb from Africa. I started taking it right before the holidays, so I was probably eating more than I normally do, but I noticed an effect within a few weeks. My hips and waist started to feel tighter.
My ‘love handles’ were the big deal for me… it was the only place I really felt self-conscious. I have this favorite pair of white, Capri-style jeans and I could not get them on. They were so tight I just left them in the closet. After a while I broke down and bought a few other pairs of jeans that were a few inches bigger in the waist. These were my new ‘fat clothes.’
But luckily, after about 7 or 8 weeks I didn’t need them anymore. I slimmed down and in spite of all the holiday food I got back into the Capri pants… Even better, my “fat jeans” started to slide right off me… it feels like a real victory. But honestly I didn’t do anything. I didn’t change the way I eat and I didn’t really exercise… After the ten-week period I asked Dr. Sears if I could keep going. I didn’t want to give up this new fat loss secret… who would?!”
Arlene H.; Wellington, FL
This is a typical response. Everyone who tries it has something good to say about it… And when they run out they always want more. No one wants to stop taking it.
When you have a good thing going, why stop?
Primal Lean may be one of the best ways to firm up and tone down – without spending hours in the gym or forcing yourself to eat bird food.
Before the study, the group taking the herb in Primal Lean averaged 215 pounds. After the study they averaged 187 pounds – for a net average loss of 28 pounds.
The control group started at 212 pounds and went to 211 pounds. They lost an average of one pound, which means nothing happened.
But hold on a sec, there’s more to this than burning fat.
Remember… This bombshell study first appeared in the journal Lipids in Health and Disease. “Lipids” means “fatty acids,” like cholesterol. The editors of this medical journal were more interested in the remarkable way this herb normalizes blood fats.
Recognize any of these names?
Total cholesterol… HDL… LDL… Blood glucose… C-reactive protein…
These are some of the terms you’ll find on your blood tests when you go to a doctor. Like the “fat signals” that normalize your body’s natural fat burning, this West African herb has the power to “normalize” other parts of your body too.
This kind of herb is called an adaptogen. An adaptogen is a natural substance that helps your body adapt to stress and exerts a normalizing effect on bodily processes. Ginseng is a good example.
But this potent weight loss herb is more powerful. It’s more than just a tonic you take for increased energy. It has very specific talents. It ramps up your body’s ability to burn fat and may help promote normal cholesterol and c-reactive protein levels.
That makes it a monumental find.
If you take this herb by itself you’ll get great results.
But there’s a way to make it better… a way to make it stronger and more effective.
Lose Your Urge to Overeat…
I didn’t just take an herb and put it in a bottle. I made it my own.
If I limited Primal Lean to the West African herb I discovered in the study you would have heard about it back in December.
That’s not the case. I have something better.
I found out about this new herb while I was working on another fat buster called fucoxanthin. (Pronounced: fu co ZAN thin) This is a seaweed extract with powerful fat burning properties.
And it quiets your appetite almost immediately.
When you’re not hungry it’s much easier for irvingia gabonensis to do its job. And of course, it’s easier to lose weight.
Here’s what a few of my patients are saying:
“Since I started taking Primal Lean about three weeks ago, I have noticed the appetite suppressant right away! I really like how I feel and not having those cravings is awesome. I take it 15 minutes before I have a meal. When I get stressed out, I will usually have cravings and snack on food a lot. Since I have been taking the Primal Lean, that is not an issue any more. Now, I enjoy eating and the cravings have disappeared. That really helps me out with not gaining extra weight and staying healthy!”
– Penny M.; Wellington, FL
“[After taking Primal Lean] I felt my appetite disappear right away, no doubt about it. I just wasn’t hungry anymore. I don’t snack anymore… I don’t want to and I don’t need to. And my pants are too big, that’s another great thing. I had to go digging in my close and pull out a pair of jeans I hadn’t worn in years… and they fit! Amazing stuff.”
– Cindy L.; Wellington, FL
Japanese Researchers Discover Fucoxanthin By Accident
When a group of Japanese marine biologists fed their study animals with fucoxanthin something remarkable happened… a microscopic protein – called UCP1 – suddenly became active.
This protein turns up your metabolic furnace and lets your cells burn fat for energy – not during exercise but while you’re resting.
This nutritious and very safe seaweed extract actually flips your metabolic switch and “turns on” your body’s fat burning machinery.
Clinical tests suggest fucoxanthin is a powerful fat buster. Many are animal tests but there are some very exciting human tests too.
The Japanese researchers were startled by the results. So they went work. In a series of experiments they gave two groups of mice the same diet, but one group supplemented with fucoxanthin.
In the fat tissue of the mice that supplemented with fucoxanthin the researchers found high levels of the fat-burning protein UCP1. As a result, those mice lost a significant amount of fat. In the control group there was no difference.2
The same researchers later discovered that fucoxanthin even prevented potential fat cells from “growing up” and becoming mature fat cells.3
Not only does fucoxanthin help you burn fat you already have… it helps prevent the formation of future fat cells. It stops fat dead in its tracks.
Clinical studies suggest fucoxanthin may be effective for people too. The trials were finished last year and the studies have been submitted for publication. From what I’ve seen, they look impressive.
In the test group, people taking fucoxanthin lost an average of 15 pounds in four months. The people in the control group lost just three pounds. These results have not been published yet, but those are good numbers.4
I’m Very Excited about Primal Lean – The Results are Impressive
Primal Lean is setting records in my office. It’s safe and effective. And everyone who tries it wants to stay on it.
Just keep in mind… it takes eight to ten weeks before you feel the whole effect. You will probably notice something before that. Many of my patients do. (And the appetite suppressant kicks in right away.)
But in the spirit of full disclosure I want you to understand that it takes a couple of months to really kick in.
There’s a reason for that.
Primal Lean is not a drug. It’s a safe and natural remedy that resets and rebalances key systems in your body. It takes time for these systems to return to normal.
But like I said, if you look back and consider all the years you’ve tried every new idea that came along… ten weeks feels like nothing!
I Want You to Feel this for Yourself…
I sent you this special invitation so you could experience first hand the amazing results Primal Lean can offer – without risk or regret.
Take my 10-week Primal Lean challenge. Lose all the fat you want. If it disappoints you I’ll pick up the tab. I’ll pay for the whole thing.
As my loyal reader I’ve chosen you to be the first one who gets this new formula… and your results are guaranteed.
The look of gratitude and satisfaction on the faces of my patients is a powerful motivator.
I want the same for you.
Accept my invitation – Your 10-week countdown starts right NOW!

Tapeworm Diet – Are You Nuts?
Posted by: | CommentsTapeworm Diet
The Tapeworm diet – can you believe people would even consider this? If I am not mistaken, parasites (like tape worms) are bad for you. The premise is the tapeworms secrete proteins that make digestion of food less efficient. I thought complete digestion of food was a good thing. The incomplete digestion of food causes a myriad of maladies.
Lets list a few negatives of the Tapeworm Diet:
- malabsorption of nutrients
- malnutrition
- IBS
- cysticercosis
- lack of energy
- poor immune function
- opportunistic diseases
- bad gut bacteria, funguses, yeast…
- poor elimination
- poor detoxification
There are many more bad effects of incomplete digestion, I have just listed a few.
The other part of the supposed weight loss from the tapeworm diet is the tapeworms themselves consume the food in your gut rather than you. Ok, what about the size and weight of the parasite(s)? Doesn’t that contribute to your weight? What about the damage to the lining of your stomach or intestines where they choose to anchor themselves
(with teeth). Do you think the perforations this causes can be good for you? What about the larvae that can migrate to your brain and cause seizures and other neurological problems as they feed on your brain or any other organ? Last I checked, parasitic infections were considered bad and sometimes fatal.
I don’t know about you but I cherish my brain and like the ability to think – not to mention my other organs. This may not be important to others, but I like using my brain and god given talents for solving problems and making me and my family’s life more fulfilling and meaningful.
How about the fact that some tape worms can grow as long as 50 feet! – depending upon type of tapeworm – Diphyllobothrium, Taenia saginata (T. saginata) and Taenia solium (T. solium), Echinococcus – parasitic flatworms called cestodes or cyclophyllids? They are segmented and each segment is capable of producing eggs. If you are lucky, they will pass with a bowel movement – worms in the toilet, how appetizing. Sometimes they will hang from your anus while the other end is fastened in your digestive tract – SEXY!
Alright, is it just me or does this gross you out? Why would you put something in your body that is the scourge of the third world? Doctors fight parasitic infections of millions of people every year and you are going to intentionally introduce them into your body?
One to two pounds a week is so easy to lose you don’t need worms to do it. Instead of using dangerous parasites, why not use natural substances, two breakthrough ingredients, irvingia and fucoxanthin. Together, they safely suppress your appetite and rebalance your body’s “fat signals.” That means your body makes less fat. And the fat your body does have gets burned for energy, instead of being stored. The result is you eat less and enjoy the kind of body you had back in your college days, when you could eat whatever and not immediately feel it in your backside or around your belly.
If you are considering the tape worm diet, you obviously have not found anything else that works. THIS WORKS! This will be the easiest diet you have ever tried because you don’t have to watch what you eat! Eat anything you wish and still lose weight fast. Of course the appetite suppressant effect will make you not want to eat as much as you usually do.
Start your new years resolution for fast weight loss with a foolproof plan! This is from an actual clinical study and the formula used was not near as good as the new, improved formula!

5 Surprising Things That Make You Leaner
Posted by: | CommentsWant to be leaner?
Good deal… here’s 5 tips that will help you along…
TIP 1
Ditch The Starch
Starches, such as rice, potatoes, some veggies, oats, etc. are
often considered “health foods.”
While they can be healthy, they can also pack on stomach bodyfat
like crazy if you overdo them.
As you may know, my “Every Other Day Diet” System (EODD) actually
encourages you to eat starches and even sweets several days a week
to get rid of excess bodyweight:
http://www.everyotherdaydiet.com/go/vitallywel <– go
Well… how does THAT work?
Simple: Timing is everything.
And it takes a “weekly” approach to foods rather than a daily
approach. This keeps your metabolism guessing. If your body cannot
figure out what you’re up to, fatburning is that much more
powerful. And you can get by with eating starches… at least a
specific times on specific days.
But if you’re not going to do EODD, then you’ll have to wing it.
And the best way to wing it is to simply cut starches out entirely
for 4-8 weeks. Then slowly add them back a few days per week.
This is no where near as effective (or as fun) as the EODD method,
but it will get you pointed in the right direction.
TIP 2
Can The Sodas
Why diet-sodas? A recent study revealed that people who drank
diet-sodas actually increased bodyfat when compared to those who
drank sugar-sodas.
What the… ??
Yep. Your body cannot be fooled by aspartame and chemicals. Sorry,
but that’s the truth.
Here’s a personal story: When I cut out the diet-sodas my bodyfat
drops like a rock in a pond of clear water.
And that’s what you need to be drinking: A quart of pure water per
50 lbs of bodyweight a day.
Try mixing water with lemon and a bit of Stevia (an herbal
sweetener) and make lemonade. It’s wonderful!
TIP 3
Stay Hungry
It takes a special person to be hungry… and an even greater one
to stay that way.
I want you to stay hungry in two ways: In how you workout and
literally… stay a bit hungry before you go to bed. Not
“starving”… just a bit hungry.
For your workouts, I have a great solution. If you pick up EODD
you’ll get a limited shot at “7 Minute Body”… Jon Benson’s
combination of “7 Minute Muscle” and “The 7 Minute In-Home Workout”
in one book… and for more than half off… but that’s a very
limited deal. Gotta have EODD… you’ll need them both…
http://www.everyotherdaydiet.com/go/vitallywel <– go
You see, progression — “forced” progression — is the best way to
stay hungry. 7 Minute Body forces you to progress without thinking
about it. Progression is built into the System.
As far as staying hungry at night? Check with your doctor and if
he/she okays it take 500mg of potassium and 1000mg of
magnesium/calcium a few hours prior to bed. This helps with the
hunger pangs. Also, keep hard-boiled eggs in the fridge. If you get
really hungry, eat one with half the yolk (toss the other half.) It
keeps you full for an hour at least.
TIP 4
Cardio Clarity
Hours and hours of cardio a day is not the answer. However, you can
do “light” cardio (i.e. brisk walking, or riding the bike at 60% of
your max) just to burn off calories. That’s okay… and personally
I don’t find it that boring if I’m watching a TV show. It does not
interfere with my main fatloss exercise (weight training… YES!)
and it burns off about 400 calories an hour.
What does work is early morning fasting cardio… but you only need
9-15 minutes. Jon Benson explains GXP (Modified) in the 7 Minute
Body book, available only if you pick up EODD, and you can get it
at more than half off:
http://www.everyotherdaydiet.com/go/vitallywel <– go
TIP 5
Get Raw At Night
Raw veggies with your last meal and as a snack will really help
your fatburning along. Try starting with red peppers because
they’re sweet. You you’ll eat virtually every veggie raw at night
without thinking about it. Give this a shot. The fatloss is well
worth it.
P.S. Jon is still giving away “Radical Fatloss Blueprint” along
with EODD for a few more days. And I’m giving a lucky few the
chance to pick up the Supplement-Kit that comes with Radical
Fatloss for almost 100 bucks off… the video and details are here:

Sorry… EODD Readers Only…. so pick it up today.

Emotional Eating
Posted by: | CommentsAre you an emotional eater?
Emotions can be deadly.
At least when it comes to eating.
And the VAST majority of us are “emotional eaters.” And that leads to excess bodyfat.
We eat when we are stressed-out.
We eat when we are overly happy.
We eat when we are depressed.
And when you eat like this you can kiss your fatloss goodbye.
There’s a 4-minute video that I want you to watch today.
It is touching, funny, and very powerful all at the same time.
And it will help you come to terms with emotional eating.

Fat Is Contagious? New Research
Posted by: | Comments[ Editor's Note: Fitness author Jon Benson shared this letter with me and gave me permission to share it with you. ]
It’s like a dream come true.
“Gaining bodyfat is the result of a virus.”
Wouldn’t that be great news?
Well…
Let me tell you about the AD-36 adenovirus. Adenoviruses are the same nasty bugs that cause the common cold. We all have these viruses in various forms in our body all the time.
That last bit is a critical distinction.
Remember that.
The Pennington Biomedical Research Center in Louisiana has been doing some really ground-breaking research on AD-36. AD-36 affects stem cells… more specifically fat cells, both pre-formed and post-formed.
This means AD-36 can make MORE fat cells if contracted as an infant and make your fat cells larger if contracted as an adult. Also known as the obesity virus.
Or so the theory goes.
To quote the study:
“Earlier researchers have concluded that Ad-36 may be contributors to obesity by super-charging fat cells to grow and store more fat. Until now, though, those researchers thought the viruses targeted pre-fat cells (called pre-adipocytes), causing them to convert in higher numbers to fat cells and causing those fat cells to be larger. Those studies were in mice. Pasaricas work determines the virus targets stem cells in humans.”
The result?
“In one test, a third of obese people had the rare and highly contagious virus compared to just 11 percent of thinner people. Weight gain can last three months until the body has built up resistance to the bug.”
Wow. Sounds like we have a winner here. A virus that you can catch that literally makes you gain bodyfat! All we need is…
a vaccine!
Right?
Wrong.
First of all, notice that 11% of LEAN people have AD-36. And at any given time, just like a cold or a flu virus, you could contract AD-36. If your body has ‘never’ been exposed to it, you may require about 3 months to build up antibodies to ward it off.
Now, you can gain a lot of weight in 3 months… but come on. You cannot become obese in three months unless you are really, REALLY working at it.
Plus, like most viruses, you build up immunity to AD-36. Researchers do not know how long the immunity lasts, but some theorize it could last years… some even decades.
And let’s not forget those 11% who are lean and have the virus.
Why did they not all of a sudden get “sick” with bodyfat?
Because they are not EATING or LIVING in a way that allows them to gain bodyfat no matter what nasty freakin’ viruses may be floating about, that’s why.
That’s right folks: It is always going to come down to the food we put in our body and the way we move. Here’s another hypothesis presented by Sherry Strong, food philosopher and nutritionist: “This could very well be the result of nature creating a mutation to encourage us to eat more due to the fact our consumption of natural, whole and organic foods is so low.”
Brilliant observation… and one tha makes complete sense.
Even if a “virus” is responsible for 20% of our weight gain, what about the other 80%?
We do not need a vaccine other than good food and a common sense workout plan.
Lose Body Fat – click here <— the “vaccine” for bodyfat
Here’s why I love this workout:
1. It’s fast. 7-14 minutes 3-5 days per week. Anyone on earth can do this.
2. The Basic Upgrade (you will see it) still comes with a copy of my book “The Every Other Day Diet.” Put the two together and you have an absolute winner of a plan that’s practical and enjoyable.
3. Plus, anyone who owns “Every Other Day Diet” gets my upcoming “Radical Fatloss Blueprint” book free. It comes out March 1st.
That’s 3 good reasons to go here and check out 7 Minute Muscle…

Here’s one more:
You know better.
You know that there’s never going to be a magic pill for health, vitality, energy and looking your best.
We can keep hoping… or you can take action and get what you want now.
To me, that makes more sense than AD-36 “Super-Retro Fat-burning Vaccine” to hit the marketplace in 2021.
